Bernadette Gutstadt Cordero
Special Education Instructor
An experienced education professional with more than 30 years of experience in educational administration, teaching, supervision, teacher training, curriculum development, and educational therapy. She holds a Master of Education in Elementary Education from Cambridge College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus.
Her professional background includes directing and managing educational institutions, evaluating and improving educational services, and implementing procedures that promote quality and efficiency. She has extensive experience teaching at the preschool and elementary levels, particularly through the Appropriate Practices educational model and the multiple intelligences approach.
She has also designed and facilitated professional development workshops in preschool education, appropriate practices, early stimulation, and mathematics education. Her experience in educational publishing includes authoring and editing phonics materials, mathematics textbooks, and teacher guides for elementary education.
Since 2015, she has worked as an independent educational therapist, evaluating students with learning challenges and developing individualized service plans to support their educational needs. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and is committed to promoting innovative, inclusive, and high-quality educational practices.
